Glad to hear your team won. I would much rather win the consolation than lose the championship. It's that whole going out winning thing. What I have a problem with is that you scored your first goal? Look, I know you're a defensive giant, but I want to see (or at least hear about) you making your post runs for the sweet headers. The beer you described sounds quite good and I am going out after work to my local liquor store to see if they can order some. Keep drinking and telling about it. I have yet to taste a bad one.

funny you mention the headers...I had two header attempts last night. A few additional post runs, (scored on one of them!), and a boatload of narrowly missed or saved shots from outside. I had the offense turned up a bit higher than usual...one of my teammates (after a few beers) referred to me a Maradonna in the later years type of player, which I took as a pretty big compliment. But to give a bit of detail, the first header was off a deadball play, and swung just a bit wide of the goal, and the second was a run down the middle and the first offender put a ball off the end that I couldn't quite get a piece of (brushed off my head) cuz I don't jump very high.

Is The Dunes a non-smoking establishment??? I can always hope. I'd love to try that lambic.

it was not a non-smoking place, but it was not smoky either. Surprisingly little smoke there. You might give it a check and see.
