If I weren't feeling so crappy, I would've had a beer with ya, if I actually drank! :)

I really don't have too much of a problem meeting folks from the bloggin' world -- just gotta convince my wife to let me out of the house ;)

But I do remember when I was in college meeting somebody in person that I met online -- boy, that was a mistake. She was looking for a date, I was looking for a friend.

But if any of you are in Central Oregon, give me a buzz. I may not be able to meet ya, but I can at least point you in the right direction for things to do.

Re: blogcross

Well you know, I met some cool people who contacted me as a result of my blog. It's gotten me more into a community than I've been in awhile (politically speaking); in fact, I think that's one of the blogosphere's greatest advantages--it connects people.

Re: blogcross

righton...yeah, I'm local portlander, inner NE corner. Lucky Lab'd be cool, though I'm partial to the patio at the Produce Row. And if you know any good secret spots on the westside out of downtown I'd be curious too.

Re: blogcross

Maybe we ought to do a Oregon blogger meet sometime. I think there's a group of bloggers who already meet at Kells every month.

Re: blogcross

Hey Rob... sounds like you're talking about Portland... we're already there.

Re: blogcross

At one time I was really weirded out by meeting people I know only online in real life. But face it - I'm a guy - the risks are much lower for me. Having said that - I'd only meet someone in a public place, away from my home. And if I was not comfortable with the request for a meet, I wouldn't go.

If you get to Multmomah, do drop a line. I'll hoist a brew with you at the Lucky Lab!
